‘Buried Alive’ is the debut single from Florida hard rock band ‘Sky Above’. Producing a lyric video alongside, the band are prepared to rake in new fans with just this single alone.
The track begins rather soft with nothing more than the quiet playing of a guitar before bursting into a full powered track. The track itself features great heavy baselines, fitting vocals and great lyrics. The song itself is about being ‘Buried Alive’ and ‘Losing the fight’ in what seems like an endless struggle. The lyrics for the song fit well alongside the power of the track making it have a great impact both instrumentally and lyrically.
The lyric video itself features the band playing in what seems to be either a practice room or recording studio while lyrics to the track flash along screen. This adds something a little different to the video, offering a more visual aspect alongside the lyrics which appear on-screen.
For a debut track, it is polished, and a good way to break through. Sky Above have made a good starting point and are ready to head even further soon. Make sure to catch them at Jack Rabbits Live in Jacksonville, Florida on July 8th!
